Anemones

Anemones are one of the most fascinating creatures you can add to a saltwater aquarium. With their flowing tentacles and vibrant colors, they bring your reef to life—literally. Many reefers love them not just for their beauty but for the way clownfish nestle inside them, forming one of nature’s most iconic partnerships. Most anemones prefer strong lighting and stable tanks that have been running for several months. They’ll often move around until they find their ideal spot with just the right amount of light and flow. Feeding them meaty treats like mysis or silversides once or twice a week will keep them happy and encourage growth. Just be sure to give them plenty of space, as they can sting nearby corals if they get too close.
