Lettuce Sea Slug
Lettuce Sea Slug, Lettuce Nudibranch
Great for eating hair algae! This reef safe and friendly clean up crew doubles up as a green algae grazer and a beautiful and slow-moving elegant tank mate.
They are known to eat green algae in general, and often times integrate their consumed chloroplasts in their wavy appendages. These chloroplasts give them their green color and are actually used to convert light into an energy food source!
Fun fact: These sea slugs are commonly referred to as nudibranchs, however are not true nudibranchs!
