Strawberry Conch Snail (Cyano Eater) (Strombus luhuanus)STROMBUS LUHUANUS

The Strawberry Conch is one of the few reef-safe grazers known to actively eat cyanobacteria. It slowly works across the sand bed with its long, trunk-like proboscis, vacuuming up red slime, diatoms, and detritus that most clean-up crew members leave behind. The result is a cleaner, brighter sand bed that also stays turned and aerated. Its red-lipped shell and curious stalked eyes make it just as fun to watch as it is useful.

Because it can only graze what's on the sand, it works best as part of a cyano plan rather than as a full cure. It still makes a great first line of defense against those red patches coming back
